Australian Wildlife Watch on the Sunshine Coast

So you have set the date and now you are ready to decide where to go for your holiday. How about a Sunshine Coast holiday in Queensland, Australia? If that's where you're heading, you are about to discover that the real beauty of this area is without doubt the rich and vibrant, not to mention unique, wildlife you will find there.

Firstly, this area is home to the Australia Zoo. Extremely popular with the holiday makers this zoo, which has become even more well-known thanks to wildlife personality Steve Irwin, contains certain species of Australian wildlife you are not likely to come across anywhere else in the world. Snakes, possums, parrots and kangaroos, along with numerous other varieties of animal and bird life as just a few examples of what you will find in this zoo on the Sunshine Coast. There is so much to see so make sure you allow yourself enough time to take in all the sights.

If it is marine wildlife you are interested in, you will be pleased to know that not far from the zoo you can enter Underwater World and Aussie World. As Queensland's largest aquarium holding 25,000 different creatures of the sea it really should be high up on your places to see during your Sunshine Coast holiday.

As well as the zoo and aquarium, there are also many National Parks to see on your Sunshine Coast holiday and well worth a visit is the Noosa National Park with its koala population. The many parks house a variety of waterfalls and forests where you will see kangaroos and possums along with several other species of animals. Why not join in on a bushwalking tour which will take you up close to the solitary animals in the more remote areas of the parks?

Noosa Park claims to have 626 vertebrate species of animals in residence. Most of these are birds or fish but there is also an unbelievable amount of flora and fauna here too making Noosa one of the most diverse National Parks right here on the sunshine coast. Rains fall and help to promote the wildlife in the river area of Noosa Park and with such an assorted terrain and climate there is little wonder this area is so exceptional when it comes to Australian wildlife.

Noosa is most well known for two of its features, these being the koalas and the birdlife. In fact, with over 300 species of birds the park has justifiably become a major interest to the bird watching population of the entire world and there have been illustrated books written about the birds found in this area. Rescue efforts to save the bird population are in practice to enable us to continue to see such beautiful creatures. It is important that you don't try to feed the birds whilst visiting the park.

So when you're on your Sunshine Coast holiday, don't forget to keep your eyes and ears open else you might miss all that extraordinary wildlife.

Getting Arty on The Sunshine Coast

Of course, whenever you're enjoying Sunshine Coast accommodation, you should ideally make a point of visiting the many outstanding art galleries in the area. While the Blackall Range has a large number of fine galleries, one arts centre to look out for is Eumundi. Even though this is a relatively small town, it has a coalition known as the "Galleries of Eumundi" which consists of seven individual galleries.

Why exactly would anyone choose to visit one of the Sunshine Coast art galleries? Well, let's just say that this is the place to be if you've ever wanted to experience the sheer beauty and power of art. From some of the most exotic presentations imaginable, to a vast variety of paintings which have been done using numerous techniques, materials, and styles. In fact, there's so much to see, you'll be able to explore for as long as you wish.

Furthermore, you'll never find yourself worrying about whether or not you can find a local artist, simply because the work is done by local artists. The great thing is, there are numerous galleries all in one location and yet they are all unique. The aborigines have their own art gallery here which of course helps them to tell the story through their art. Likewise, there is an outstanding gallery which is entirely devoted to glass sculptures and unconventional designs which make use of the most brilliant colours and shapes imaginable.

Irrespective of what type of art you may be interested in, whether it's abstract paintings, photography or something a little more contemporary, you can be rest assured it's possible to find it all in one place. In fact, you won't believe just how fantastic some of the works of art are, so don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting to get your hands on something while you're here. Unbelievably, the most amazing thing of all is that all the works of art you'll see in these amazing galleries is actually for sale.

Rather than spending your hard earned cash on some cheap and poorly crafted novelty in order to remind yourself of a lifetime experience, you should instead consider buying something which will last a lifetime and bring you a lot of pleasure. Whether you opt for a sculpture, a wall hanging, or something else which is unique, such as decanter, you can be rest assured that it will be a topic of discussion for many years to come and, because the artists all live in the immediate area, you'll also know that your money has been spent wisely.

Ironically, artists are for the most part the hardest working and lowest paid people in the world today, but of course, for the vast majority of artists, it's not about the money. In fact, many artists firmly believe that all people are entitled to own something which is exceptionally beautiful.

Over and above the many beautiful art galleries, you'll also discover a number of exhibitions taking place on a regular basis. For this reason, you may want to make some inquiries about these events when you book your Sunshine Coast accommodation so that you can work them into your planned itinerary. At least that way you won't need to worry about missing out on some of the best things the area has to offer.

Furthermore, you may wish to take note that from August to September each year, a special Sunshine Coast Art Prize is held. As a token of recognition with regards to the Sunshine Coast art scene, the annual prize is one of the most valuable prizes, being worth approximately $20,000 and as such, it really is an event well worth seeing when you visit the area.

If you would like to find out more about the Sunshine Coast art scene, you can get a wealth of information by searching online.

Choose the Sunshine Coast For Your Wedding Reception Venue

The wedding reception is one of the most important parts in every wedding. However, choosing the right venue may not be that easy. You need to consider some essential factors such as your budget, the size of the wedding, the number of guests, and the ambiance or the atmosphere of the venue.

Knowing your number of guests is essential to give you an idea of how much you are going to spend for your reception. If you opt to invite numerous guests, then it will be quite costly and you need to get a bigger place for your reception. However, there are also big venues that can be less expensive and offer great deals. Now, if you are planning to have a church wedding, then you might have to spend more because you have to find another location for your reception; unlike in a civil wedding where you can have your wedding ceremony and reception in the same location.

Would you want a formal ambiance or would you rather have a casual atmosphere? Depending on your preference, you can choose the venue that suits not only your needs but also your wants. Inspect the facilities. If you prefer having a grand reception, then you must make sure that the lighting is perfect, the sound system works well, and the room goes with your number of guests. Be sure to consider the inclusions of their package, the parking area, the location of the venue, and even the number of restrooms too.

There are various ways of finding wedding reception venues, and one great way is through the internet. Through the net, the couple can have access to the geographical areas thereby enabling them to choose the venue that is most convenient for them. In addition, various reception venues include in their website some important details and information. Others also include different pictures that can be very helpful to their customers. But of course, it would be best if you have time to visit them and check their location in person. Make an appointment with them to have a tour so that you can be certain that the place is perfect.

Among all the different wedding venues, one great place for wedding reception is the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. Queensland is popular for being a perfect wedding destination due to the top quality wedding venues that you can find, the lush scenery of the Hinterland and the fabulous golden beaches on the coast. A Sunshine Coast wedding reception is ideal because the venues are renowned for providing all the needs of their customers. The weather offers a temperate climate all year round and the environment is relaxing and peaceful to give the couple an intimate and private wedding reception. Venues are usually spacious and specifically designed to accommodate the numerous guests of the couple. And, as a bonus, the region is served by its own Sunshine Coast airport - perfect for your interstate or overseas guests.

So when you are looking for the perfect wedding reception venue, the important thing to remember is that you have explored all your options. Before making a reservation, you need to be certain that the venue that you like meets all of your necessities. Your wedding happens only once so there is no reason to pick a venue that is second best. Therefore, if you want to have only the best wedding reception, there is no other better place to have it but only in the Sunshine Coast.

Whale Watching on the Sunshine Coast

The Glass House Mountains and the spectacular countryside aren't the only attractions of a Sunshine Coast holiday just north of Brisbane, Australia. Another viewing adventure is nearby. Just off the coast in the crystal blue Pacific waters another adventure awaits. Every year from June to November more than 9000 humpback whales make the journey northward from Antarctica and winter in the warm waters off Queensland.

Getting to see a humpback whale is one of nature's most amazing experiences. These creatures are giants. Humpbacks are the world's fifth largest whale, and they are beautiful to behold. The humpback whale can be nearly seven times the size of an African elephant. But he humpbacks aren't content to merely allow you to watch them. Humpbacks like to entertain their fans. You can see and hear a fascinating show. Whales have as many as 40 different tones, and while you're listening to the symphony you can watch them soar out of the water before crashing back and diving below, leaving turbulent seas in their wake.

Researchers studying the humpback whale have learned that the whales have a complex method of communication, and some scientists even believe they have a level of intelligence on par with that of humans. Evidence of this can be seen as well has heard, particularly in the care mothers give to their young. Some of these wondrous sites unfold so close it seems just an arm's length away. Imagine being so close to a whale blow that you can feel the spray. Imagine being able to look into the eyes of such a massive and magnificent creature.

Humpback whales may have the lead roles in the show, but they aren't the only performers. Dolphins are also stars of the pageant, and they are not at all shy. Imagine seeing a whale interacting with a group of dolphins. Sharks and turtles often make more than a mere cameo appearance, and this fantastic aquatic cabaret unfolds in the Sunshine Coast's brilliant waters - waters warm enough for swimming year round.

Another type of whale can also be spotted taking a Sunshine Coast holiday and presents a rare treat. Those embarking on humpback whale watching tours occasionally see white whales. These beautiful creatures are unforgettable. Yet as magical as an appearance of a white whale may seem, nothing can upstage the humpbacks themselves.

Whale watching wasn't always the main interaction between humans and whales. In fact, only in recent years has whale watching become a popular activity. As recently as the 1960s whales were slaughtered by the thousands. The whales seem to understand that times have changed, and they are becoming more and more accustomed to the sight of adoring fans in whale watching boats. Whereas once the whales once might have fled oncoming vessels, they now seem attracted to the boats full of adoring fans.

Before venturing out into the azure blue waters on your Sunshine Coast holiday,it's best to plan ahead. Whale watching is becoming more and more popular every season, and the tours fill quickly. You don't want to miss this grand opportunity.

Sunshine Coast Holidays and Wineries

If you are looking for an adventurous time and great wine, Sunshine Coast holidays in Queensland Australia make the perfect experience.

The area is very diverse and growing quickly, you can find wineries and vineyards all over the Sunshine Coast and even in the nearby hills. The beautiful Queensland coastline is just an added bonus to the opportunity for sampling wines from many promising vineyards.

There are three main wine regions on the Sunshine Coast that you can visit: Kenilworth, Traveston and Blackall Range. Each of these areas is different from the other and produces wines with unique flavors.

One hour north of Brisbane is the Maleny Mountain Wines, winery. The vineyard boasts rich volcanic soil that is perfect for growing the Chambourcin grapes. Using a blend of these grapes and others grown locally the vineyard makes a lovely range of wines. In fact, their list of wines is so extensive that there is sure to be a variety that will suit any taste bud. Maleny Mountain Wines has bus tours, group wine tastings and will serve you a tasty lunch on the weekends.

Make Dingo Creek Vineyard the next stop on your Sunshine Coast holiday itinerary. It lies about a half hour drive further north and is in the Cooloola region. Here they have been producing their own Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay since the late 90's. This vineyard is capable of handling large groups of people and is open to bus groups every day of the week. Up to 60 people can enjoy lunch, tea and or wine tastings on the lovely covered deck. If you would like to add to the whole Australian adventure, you simply must try their bush tucker, a regional dish. One impressive fact about this vineyard is the work that they do to practice sustainable agriculture, this means the land will be capable of producing for several generations. Dingo Creek has worked diligently to establish their reputation and if the wine is any indicator, they will succeed.

Robinsons Family Vineyard is the next winery on the list and one of the oldest in the area. The vineyard was opened in 1969 in Ballandean on the Granite Belt. This area has a unique blend of soil and climate that has yielded some award winning wines. Ballendean National Park is the view below the vineyard and it is fantastic. Robinsons was one of the first vineyards to diversify their vines, along with the native Shiraz vines the vineyard also plants Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Recently they have added Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Beaujolais and Merlot. This brings them to a grand total of 30 acres of vines to harvest. In 1975, the vineyard took a gold medal for a blended wine that included Cabernet, Shiraz and Pinot Noir. The contest was held in Brisbane and the vineyard has continued to win awards ever since.

Time spent in Europe by the vineyard owners has allowed them to bring back a rich tradition to the land of Australia. You can enjoy them all on your next Sunshine Coast holiday.

The above vineyards and wineries are just a sampling of the dozen or more that you can visit in the Sunshine Coast area. Along with spectacular wines, you will also find a countryside that is as beautiful as it is exotic. You will not soon forget your Sunshine Coast holiday, of that you can be certain.

Sunshine Coast Conferences - Enjoy the Benefits

Business conferences in today's world have turned into social events for business members. Using a large space for a conference makes it more difficult for the company to communicate personality to a crowd to establish their own brand. Using smaller locations allows the event to be more personal, providing a special synergy that is not available in most relationships of a business nature.

In order to interact more directly, a typical Sunshine Coast conference center in Australia's beautiful Queensland, will provide excellent amenities and a great location for interacting with prospects on a personal level.

Building Your Brand

People come from many different places in order to get involved in these conference meetings. For those that want a small area where representatives can build up a brand on a personal level with the crowd, a Sunshine Coast convention center is the perfect option. Working the room is important for networking, and using large conference centers makes it more difficult for representatives to build their brand within a large crowd. Fewer leads are generated when there is a problem with building the brand. Using strong brand awareness increases leads and using a Sunshine Coast conference centre can provide the venue in which you can accomplish this.

Focusing on the Key Players

When you go with a new level of conferences, there are many benefits. When you choose a more compact conference, speakers, representatives, and leaders are able to focus on the key players in attendance. Large and long events are often viewed by business leaders as boring, unproductive, and a waste of time. With a typical Sunshine Coast convention center, the perfect setting is available. There can be 70 guests in a theater style form or 100 cocktail guests in this setting. With these intimate conferences, the key players are able to get involved in the entire event. This makes a large impact and allows the company to use a budget friendly way to build up a business image.

Program Evaluation

Once a presentation is complete, invite guests to leave feedback on the presented information and their preference for a location. Many guests will feel that a Sunshine Coast conference center was the perfect place for this gathering, but there may be some that disagree. Use this information to help benefit the interests of your company. Ask whether guests enjoyed themselves, and find out if they plan to come back to this location again. Consider whether or not the event was successful, find out whether superiors approved of it, and whether they will offer sponsorship for this program in the future. To get the feedback you need, provide note cards for feedback, or even online feedback forms for your guests. Ask them to fill out the feedback forms before they leave.

Ensure that your conference is beneficial to all, to the point and concise. A Sunshine Coast convention center allows you to get a different perspective on new opportunities that come from smaller and more intimate conferences.

Food:

There are just too many places to eat to list them. The Sunshine Coast offers some very unique dishes, partially because of the unique ingredients that can be naturally found there, and also due to the unique cooking styles and combinations.

Some popular things to try while visiting the Sunshine Coast include Morton Bay bugs, Kenilworth cheeses, locally produced wine and ginger products. The list goes on and on.

Near your Sunshine Coast resort you will usually find that many of the restaurants are unique to the area, instead of being part of a large chain. Whatever kind of atmosphere you are looking for, you can find it! There is everything from outdoor dining in a completely casual atmosphere, to gourmet excellence with top service.

What makes the restaurants on the Sunshine Coast so popular is the warm, friendly atmosphere and superb service. Some restaurants hold dinner shows, so be sure to look into these.

Shopping:

You will also find a great number of markets near your Sunshine Coast accommodation. Here you can peruse locally made crafts and goods, along with food and entertainment. Check the times and dates for these markets before you go. Some are only open a couple times a month, and some have certain hours that they are open. Keep in mind that many of these markets have entertainment for children, so it is really an all-ages place to go.

The Eumundi Market is the largest to be found on the Sunshine Coast. It is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, and boasts over 300 stalls to be explored. Whatever market you are visiting, it is a god idea to arrive early in the morning to ensure the best buys and parking.

Wherever you go, there is also bound to be local shops that are worth seeing. Local shops often reflect the flavour of the region. This is a great place to find quality souvenirs to take home. Your Sunshine Coast resort will be a big hit with the whole family. There are plenty of activities and places to go that have something for every age. Be warned, there is so much to do, you will have trouble fitting it all into your schedule.
